PROGRAM DIRECTOR

High Hopes Therapeutic Riding seeks an experienced individual who meets the PATH Intl Master Instructor criteria to provide strategic direction to its therapeutic riding programs and to lead its program team as the Program Director. Successful candidates will possess strong leadership, mentoring, management, communication and organizational skills, enabling them to provide direction and oversight to our busy therapeutic riding program. Responsibilities include, supervision and development of a dynamic team, strategic visioning, community outreach, budget preparation as well as overall program management.

Founded in 1974, High Hopes is a PATH Intl Premier Accredited Center which serves more than 240 children and adults with disabilities each week. Staff members are integral to a team that works cohesively to provide the highest quality programs for participants and instructor candidates from all over the world in its PATH Intl Approved Instructor Training Course. The Program Director manages a team of five full-time direct reports and participates in management team decision making.

DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc., seeks an individual for the position of Development Coordinator. This position reports to and provides support to the Development Director to ensure that the development strategy is implemented.

Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication and technology skills, and have a familiarity with donor database management systems. A background in related donor/customer service and experience in data management is also a plus.

Primary duties include:

• Manage the donor database and ensure accurate and timely entry of all donor information. Develop reports needed for donor tracking, budgeting, reconciliation and communication materials.

• Track and generate acknowledgment letters for all monetary and in-kind donations.

• Manage Adopt-A-Horse program.

• Management of fund development mailings; newsletters, Appeal mailings, June benefit invitation mailing and other targeted solicitations during the fiscal year. This includes selection and preparation of mailing lists.

• Assist in the management of cultivation events.

• Recruit and manage Development Office volunteers.

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Development Director, as needed.

• Assist Finance Director and the Business Office with the following job functions: check and credit card logs and quarterly reconciliation.
