                                                      COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc in Old Lyme, CT  seeks a full-time experienced individual for the position of Communications Manager.  Under the direction of the Development Director, the Communications Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of all communications and marketing activities at High Hopes, ensuring that consistent, quality, brand recognized material are being effectively utilized for maximum exposure internally and externally.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Implement and maintain Marketing plan for High Hopes both internal and external communications

Implement, coordinate and maintain communications in conjunction with other staff including website updates, e-blasts, printed newsletters, mailings, press releases and feature articles.

Initiates and coordinates social media efforts including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Coordinate and manage advertising and promotion for events and services

Coordinate and manage website design and maintenance

Provide general administrative support as needed

Manage digital imAge procession for print and web use, photos, photography archives, video and all PR materials

Develop and Maintain network of media contacts

Manage volunteer and consultant support for communications and marketing

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Marketing and Communications experience, including web design and integrated social media campaigns, photography and strong writing skills.

Strong Computer Skills with emphasis on effective use of website and social media tools

Graphic Design Skills

Good writing skills coupled with accuracy in spelling and grammar

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Access, Outlook, Constant Contact, Adobe Editing

Website Design and Management proficiency

Strong management skills

Ability to be flexible and accommodate various requests in a busy work day

 

This position is 40 hours/week and provides benefits including health, life insurance and a retirement plan.
