High Hopes offers a variety of therapeutic and educational programs that are centered around the horse:

Equine Activities & Therapies

High Hopes offers a variety of therapeutic and educational equestrian programs defined by PATH Intl. as Equine Assisted Activities. These activities are conducted primarily to enhance our participants’ horsemanship skills and provide lifetime opportunities for dynamic recreational exercise.

Outreach Programs

High Hopes has a variety of outreach programs designed to bring equine-related activities to an even larger population of people who can benefit from them throughout the community. Field trips from schools and local organizations are available. Student visitors receive an introduction to horse grooming, handling and riding.

Continuing Education

Various educational workshops and clinics are planned and offered throughout the year covering a variety of topics relevant to the equestrian and therapeutic riding professions.

The field of therapeutic riding offers rewarding career opportunities combining elements of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, education, psychology and child development with horsemanship teaching skills. Professional certification is required to teach therapeutic riding at an accredited center.
