Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center

Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center is looking to hire a PATH Intl Certified Instructor. We are a PATH Premier Accredited Center who serves about 50 participants a week.The job consists of 15-30 hours of teaching time depending on your schedule. Flexible hours are available. There are also other hours available to make it a full time position. 2-6 days a week depending on your schedule.

This is a full time position for not only instructing Therapeutic Riding lessons (must be PATH Intl. certified) and working with the Minis in Motion program but also for having a hand in many parts of making the program tick. We are in an expansion phase of not only TR but also Heroes, EAL and EFP. As we develop our second site, we are looking for creativity and boldness in stretching EAAT into other areas. Therapeutic Riding Institute -Instructor

Doctor Franklin Perkins School, Rein in a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship Center (RIAD) is seeking to hire a passionate energetic professional instructor that is interested in joining a growing program. RIAD is a premier accredited center serving children and adults with a variety of special needs. The program specializes in working with individuals with mental health challenges, behavioral, and emotional issues, cognitive and developmental disabilities and mild to moderate physical challenges.

Candidate must have a strong background working with individuals with special needs. At least 5 years’ of providing riding instruction, 3 years’ experience working with a variety of special needs and ages, licensed by the state of Massachusetts, preference to be a PATH Intl. registered instructor (willing to train the appropriate candidate.) Experience conducting mounted and un-mounted equine assisted learning lessons. Strong equestrian skills to teach beginner to intermediate level. Advanced training in education, psychology, human services, or physical disabilities beneficial to the position. The candidate must be available to work at least 25 hours with flexibility. Assistant Equestrian Instructor

The Glenholme School is a Therapeutic Boarding School for young adults with learning differences, age 10-22. Glenholme is looking for a part-time addition to our Equestrian Program who can teach lessons in the afternoon and on weekends, complete routine barn/horse care, and/or supervise Equine Facilitated Learning/Therapy groups. Glenholme has seven horses, a newly constructed barn, a beautiful setting for equestrian activities, and a wonderful population of students to work with. A PATH certified instructor and/or ESMHL with a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, though applicants progressing towards a degree will also be considered. Maximum of 24 hours per week with many opportunities for professional development and experience within our school community.

Executive Director

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer for the Stoney Brook Foundation dba Nickers ‘N Neighs Therapeutic Riding Center. The position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s achievement of its mission, development and implementation of the strategic plan, and financial objectives. Other key duties include: fundraising; the supervision and development of staff and volunteers; the development of high quality services and programs to the participants; the stewardship of the horses and facility; all aspects of BOD reporting; compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; and the accuracy of all financial reports and tax returns. Oversees on a daily basis all the operations of the organization, and provides direction to ensure the growth and well-being of the organization within the fiscal constraints of the budget.

Part Time Therapeutic Riding Instructor

HorseAbility, a Therapeutic Riding program, Hippotherapy program and one week summer day camp in Old Westbury, New York is seeking therapeutic riding instructors, potential for part time or full time position. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, dedicated, compassionate and professional with capability of teaching beginner to advanced lessons to the special needs community. PATH Intl. certification or the pursuit of certification a plus. Must be available at least one weekend day.
