High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc. in Old Lyme, CT seeks an individual with strong communication and organizational skills to manage the Volunteer Program.
Over 600 volunteers support the various aspects of this dynamic non-profit organization. Successful candidates will have experience with volunteer management in human services and/or therapeutic horsemanship organizations, possess leadership, organizational and technology skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International Advanced Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification strongly preferred; additional therapeutic horsemanship qualifications (i.e. Driving, ESMHL, CHA, etc.) a plus.
Founded in 1974, High Hopes is a PATH International Premier Accredited Center which serves over 240 children and adults with disabilities each week. Staff members are integral to a team that works cohesively to provide the highest quality programs for participants and mentor instructor candidates from all over the world. The volunteer manager reports to the program director and provides direct supervision to the volunteer coordinator.
