Are you looking for a great way to spend time outside?
Become a High Hopes’ Feeder, and you’ll also become part of a fantastic community where Horses & Humans Improve Lives.
You can get involved as much, or as little suits your schedule. Our feeders generally help one day a week. They are most needed in the mornings between 8:00-10:00 AM. Feeders work in a team, usually with the same people each time they volunteer. Some feeders come once a week, others come several mornings a week. Feeding is a great (free & fun) alternative to going for the gym!
Horse experience not required, but comfort around horses is. You will help load hay bales, feed, and groom our very special herd of therapeutic horses. Our feeders need to be able to walk between paddocks and move hay bales over short distances. Our general orientation training will help you decide if this volunteer role is for you.
If you cannot commit to the same day every week but are sometimes available at short notice, why not consider becoming a substitute feeder? Each week we will let you know the available slots for the following week, or we will contact you if someone has to cancel.
