This week we are celebrating our volunteers. What do our volunteers mean to us?

Simply put ... everything!

Volunteers are what make High Hopes possible. They are the hands that hold everything together, the energy that gives life to our program, and the reason behind the smiles and laughter. No matter what kind of a day our participants are having, they know that they will be greeted by their committed and loving volunteers. As staff members we bear witness to simple actions and gracious interactions that leave us in awe, reminding us daily to be thankful for the skilled and generous volunteer force we have.  As an organization who relies on 96% of its workforce donating their time, we are hyper-aware of any loss or change. If one person is out sick, the job of at least 5 others is greatly affected (including horses!). We appreciate every minute our volunteers give — from feeding our hungry herd, sweeping our never-ending aisles, oiling our well-loved saddles, to greeting each person who walks through the doors.

To our volunteers, YOU make our days brighter and you inspire us. You mean EVERYTHING to us at High Hopes. 💙🧡
Congratulations to our April Volunteer Spotlight, Cheryl Colangelo!

Cheryl joined our volunteer team in 2016. She has volunteered over 1,130 hours at High Hopes! Cheryl has volunteered in many roles, but currently helps out as a horse handler, Horsemanship Coach, and with Special Events. Thank you for your continued support and dedication!
