Carrie joined the High Hopes team as a Part-Time instructor in 2011. Prepared with her education and horsemanship background, Carrie began volunteering at High Hopes when it was located at Kingswood Farm in Lyme. She went on to obtain her Bachelors degree in Music from SUNY Potsdam and her Master’s in Education from University of Connecticut. As an instructor, Carrie enjoys helping our participants feel a sense of accomplishment and confidence in their horsemanship skills.
Outside of High Hopes, Carrie is the Director of Instrumental Music at Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School. She and her husband live in Killingworth, home of Windsong Farm. Carrie has two miniature horses that she shows as a Carriage Driving pair. She also trains and shows dressage horses for other owners.
