Tails from the Tack Room: Planning for Success

Meow there, High Hopes fans! LC here, reporting from my favorite perch by the tack room. Things have been quite busy around here lately, and I’m excited to tell you about what’s been going on behind the scenes in our programs!

It all starts with our amazing instructors, who spend a lot of time crafting lesson plans. These plans are as unique as the people and horses involved. The instructors take into account each participant’s personal goals – anything from improving balance to learning how to make friends – and design activities that are fun and engaging. Whether it’s weaving through cones, going over obstacles, or practicing arena patterns, every lesson is carefully tailored to ensure everyone gets the most out of their time in – and out of – the saddle.

The best part? We’re getting closer to Horse Show Days! That’s when our participants get to show off all the skills they’ve worked so hard on throughout the semester. Friends and family will be here cheering them on, and I’m sure there will be lots of laughter, silent clapping, and a few happy purrs from VERA and me!

The instructors, volunteers, and participants have been working so hard, and I know it’s going to be an unforgettable event. VERA and I will be keeping a close eye on things, making sure everything runs smoothly. Of course, I’ll also be sneaking in a nap or two when the action slows down – a barn cat’s gotta rest, after all!

Until next time, keep your ears perked and your hooves ready – there’s always more fun to be had in the barn!

Meow for now,
LC & VERA
