Missy Saracino Lamont
Missy Lamont brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience and a lifelong passion for horses to her work in the equine-assisted services industry. She also enjoys spending time outside and playing tennis.
Missy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management from The Pennsylvania State University, with a specialization in Commercial and Community Recreation. With more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, including previous service as an Executive Director, Missy has built expertise in organizational leadership, program development, fundraising, community engagement, and strategic planning. In 2019, she earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Strategies from Harvard Business School, further strengthening her ability to lead mission-driven organizations through growth and change.
Missy’s passion for horses began at the age of eight and has remained a defining influence throughout her personal and professional life. She is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) and is certified in Equine-Facilitated Learning through the HERD Institute. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership positions within the equine-assisted services industry, including serving as a PATH Intl. State Chair, Region Representative, Governance Committee member, and currently as a member of the Board of Directors for PATH Intl.
Beyond her work in equine-assisted services, Missy is committed to strengthening nonprofit organizations and community partnerships. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce, where she is a member of both the Governance Committee and the Nonprofit Resource Council. She has also served as an Advisory Board member for Hestovin Stables Therapeutic Riding Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Empowerment Farm in Naples, Florida, organizations dedicated to enriching lives through equine and farm-based experiences.
Missy is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for individuals of all abilities and believes in the transformative power of horses to inspire growth, connection, confidence, and healing.
