Rachel Barretta’s High Hopes journey began in the summer of 2024 as an intern, where she focused on developing individualized lesson plans and building meaningful connections with individuals with disabilities. She recently graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and English, and a minor in Hispanic Studies.
As an educator, Rachel brings her passion for curriculum design and inclusive teaching to her role as a summer camp instructor. With a lifelong love of horses—riding and partnering with them since the age of eight—she is excited to combine her teaching background with her equestrian experience to create engaging, accessible programming.
Outside of High Hopes, Rachel enjoys painting, reading, and watching sports like rugby and basketball. She also played rugby during her time at Wheaton.
