This week, High Hopes was one of 37 grateful recipients of a

Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation, 2019 Grant.

The CCECF mission is to promote initiatives that enhance and enrich education and economic opportunities for children and families in the Chamber service area.

On Monday, thirty-seven different non-profit organizations were awarded over $120,000, at a ceremony at the Chamber’s Offices in Waterford, CT.

High Hopes is already putting this $2,500 grant to good use, subsidizing places for the children of Veterans and current service personnel, for our VetKids Camp this summer. Find out more about how Horses and Humans improve the lives of service families through the VetKids Summer Program.

Last year High Hopes were grateful to receive a grant which funded the purchase of an Equicizer “Hope.” Hope has proved an invaluable tool for conducting pre-registration assessments. It has also enabled children who may at first be apprehensive about getting on a horse, to experience a “virtual horse-back ride.” To find out more about CCECF or read about “Hope the Equicizer.”
