Meowdy, friends! LC here (with Vera peeking over my shoulder as usual) to bring you the latest scoop straight from the tack room.
Horse Show Days just wrapped up, and let us tell you—what a week! The energy was buzzing like a summer fly. Our friends — both two-legged and four—were all dressed up and ready to shine. The participants wore bright teal shirts, and some even had sparkly ribbons in their hair! We were this close to borrowing some ourselves… but Vera said it would clash with her calico.
The horses were sparkling—no, really. Lucky didn’t roll in the mud once (a true miracle), and everyone was groomed to perfection. We even caught a whiff of peppermint shampoo—fancy!
The lounge? Ribbons galore! Huge, colorful ones hung everywhere, and don’t even get us started on the raffle baskets. We spotted a particularly purr-fect one filled with cat treats and toys. Vera and I may or may not have snuck in a few red tickets of our own…shhh.
When it was show time, the arena came alive! Each participant rode or lead with confidence, showing off their hard work, trust, and connection with their horse. Some even rode to music—it was like watching a real-life musical parade, minus the trumpets (thank goodness).
Family and friends lined the sidelines, waving their hands in the air with big smiles. And us? We were right there too, under our favorite picnic table, soaking up every proud moment.
