Tails from the Tack Room: A Purr-fect Holiday Poem

As winter drifts across the fields, and twinkle lights appear,We’re curling up in cozy spots, our favorite time of year. The barn hums softly with happy hearts, the herd is tucked in tight,And we, your faithful barn cats, are counting joys tonight. We’re grateful for our High Hopes herd—Arthur, Captain, too,Centos, Lucky, gentle souls, who share each day anew. They tell us all the barnyard news, straight from the horse’s mouth(s),And though we try to act aloof, we love their friendly snouts. We’re thankful for the kindest hands that pet us as they pass,They always stop to greet us, never moving by too fast. We’re thankful for our staff and crew, who care with love and pride,Who brave the cold, haul hay and feed, with us cats close by their side. And for our dear friend Juanita, who spoils us on weekends —Let’s keep it from the vet, we’re “portion controlled,” my friends. We’re grateful for this campus, so peaceful, bright, and grand,Where sunbeams dance through stall windows and stretch across the arena sand.We perch up high in secret spots to watch the world below, content to call this barn our home, through rain, sun or snow. For every neigh and gentle nudge, each laugh and loving cheer,We’re thankful for the heart of High Hopes and our family here.So may your days be warm and bright, your spirit light and free,Happy Holidays (with whiskered love) from LC & Me.
