Laura joined the High Hopes team in the spring of 2026, bringing together her lifelong passion for horses, a background in education and visual arts, and a deep commitment to equine-assisted services. As a horse owner and active equestrian, she pursued her PATH Intl. certifications as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL), inspired by the powerful connection between horses and people.
Laura’s teaching philosophy centers on putting the well-being of the horses first while fostering patience, empathy, confidence, and skill development for every participant. She is passionate about creating an environment where riders, volunteers, and horses can all thrive together, and values the supportive, collaborative culture that makes High Hopes such a special place.
Outside of High Hopes, Laura enjoys spending time in her art studio painting and sculpting, as well as making memories with her family.
