High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc. seeks an energetic individual to assist with 2023 summer camps!
Each year High Hopes offers a variety of summer camps and programs ranging from an inclusive summer camp for children of all abilities to a camp for at-risk youth. High Hopes is seeking a dedicated individual (18 years or older) to assist the Summer Camp Director with coordinating and implementing summer camp activities at High Hopes.
The Summer Camp Counselor will supervise campers and volunteers and independently implement horse related educational activities. Additional responsibilities may include providing support to camp instructional staff during hands on horse activities, and administrative tasks such as assisting with creating certificates and lesson planning. Knowledge of disabilities/behavior management techniques as well as previous horse experience is required. Certifications in Epipen/Administration of Medications and CPR/First Aid are highly preferred.
This is a part-time opportunity (Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm) assisting with 8.5 weeks of High Hopes summer horse camps.
