Meet Jason! Jason has been a dedicated feeding volunteer since 2016. Although feeding is completely different from his day to day life, he picked it up quickly. He travels a fairly long distance to arrive at High Hopes at 8:00 in the morning to help feed the horses. Even though feeding is early in the morning, he comes with a smile on his face and has a joke up his sleeve. Jason is always flexible and is extremely helpful when helping to train new volunteers. We know that he will get along with almost any group of feeders.
Our feeders are an extremely important volunteer role at High Hopes. They are the first ones to greet the horses in the morning and help start the day out on the right foot. Some people might be uncertain with walking into a herd of loose horses out in a field but Jason is calm and confident. When asked what he likes most about volunteering, Jason simply stated “Giving back to the children and horses. This is a great organization that does wonderful things for children!”
