Development Coordinator

High Hopes is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator. This position offers up to 20-hours per week, Monday – Friday. Some scheduling flexibility is offered to accommodate the ideal candidate.

Experience Needed:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of professional experience in an administrative setting.
  • The preferred candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with, or volunteering with, a non-profit organization.

Skills Needed:

  • Advanced skills in a PC based computer environment including Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate Excel and Word required.
  • CRM database experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in Bloomerang and GiveSmart, though not required. Ability to learn web-based software required for primary responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with Canva preferred, though not required.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail, required.
  • Ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as in team environment. Proactive and self-directed candidates preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

Donor Administration and Database Management

  • Assisting the Development Officer, maintain an integrated system of relationship management, solicitations, and cultivation activities.
  • Assisting the Development Officer, promptly generate donor acknowledgements and other forms of communications.
  • Assisting the Development Officer, collaborate on annual fund and annual appeal mailing processes.

Event Support

  • Assisting the Events Manager, support development-related event planning inclusive of, but not limited to, the annual gala and cultivation events.
  • Assisting the Events Manager, maintain guest lists and RSVP management.
  • Assisting the Development Officer, maintain the GiveSmart platform and the transfer of data to Bloomerang.
  • Assisting the Development Officer, coordinate with the Auction Committee to maintain accurate and updated records for Gala Auction.

Organizational Support

  • Assist with special fundraising projects, such as 50th Anniversary Campaign, The Great Give, and other fundraising activities as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Philanthropy Officer.
