Grand Wine is selling coupons on our site where the donor buys a $10 coupon for $15 off of a case of wine.  All proceeds go to High Hopes

Fall Appeal

Appeal mailed right on schedule on October 5.  Post cards will be ready for the committee to write notes on in next week. There will be in packets of 100 for each committee member and should returned to High Hopes by November 28. Email Sara by Friday if you are going to pick up the post cards, otherwise Sara will mail them.   Packets will contain suggested copy for notes.

To date the appeal is slightly ahead of last year, but we will take a closer analysis in January for better sense of how it compares to previous years.

June Tailgating with Sugar (aka The Big Barn Bash)

Will be held at High Hopes in the field. Jeff, along with Trudy B. and Holly S., has already started creating the layout for the event and the Event Chairs, Robin Schonberger and Barbara Willkens, along with Trudy and Sara have started to outline revenue, expenses and format for the event. We are putting together a health and safety committee.  There will be a VIP section in the front for $5000 and above Corporate Sponsors and ticket buyers. Each VIP space can accommodate two cars and will be provided with tables, chairs, tableware and 2 bottles of Veuve Clicqout.  Rain plan, the event will go virtual and ticket buyers will be able to pick up their box suppers and beverages from High Hopes.  We are looking into the option of a pay per view from home for those who don’t want to tailgate.  There will not be an open bar, but beverage carts on Gators to replenish water and other beverages. BYOB is not allowed. Guests can get out of the car, but will be required to stay within their designated parking pod.  Our plan can accommodate up to 400 guests.   Trudy and the Health and Safety Committee will be discussing what’s allowable, Vis a vis Covid health and safety state regulations, with the town officials.

Most Committee chairs have been selected.  However, we are looking for chairs for the Auction Committee for this year. Gary Rogers is happy to work with the corporate sponsor co-chair, Jamie Childs.

Next Meeting: January 12, 4pm via Zoom – a zoom invite and agenda will be sent out 2 weeks prior to meeting.
