Audrey Vela joined the High Hopes team in 2022 as an Assistant Instructor. She plans to become a PATH, International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor in the near future!

Audrey first developed her passion of working with horses at a local therapeutic farm while in an Agri-science high school. She has personally seen the power of how a horse can provide therapy both mentally and physically.

Throughout high school and into college, this passion followed Audrey. She picked up riding and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Business Management with Riding in December of 2021 at Johnson & Wales University. Within her college career, Audrey took classes in Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies and volunteered another Therapeutic Riding center in Rhode Island, learning the basics of teaching lessons.

Audrey enjoys spending time outdoors through running and camping. She is looking forward to all new experiences within the equine industry!
