Equine Operations Director – Holly Sundmacker has been at High Hopes since 1990.

She began as a volunteer at age 11 and eventually joined the Barn staff.  In 2001, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Management from Teikyo Post University.

After obtaining her college education, she returned to High Hopes as the Barn Manager.  Now, as High Hopes’ Equine Operations Director, Holly manages all aspects of the farm and horses, from facility and property maintenance to health management and direct care for the center’s 25 horses. Thanks to Holly’s leadership High Hopes has been recognized as a Horse Farm of Environmental Distinction by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service and an Equine Guardian.
